History
On June 7, 2017, MIT announced that Senior House would be closed to undergraduate students and would house graduate students beginning in Fall 2017. This marks the shuttering of the oldest dorm at the Institvte and the ending of 101 years of MIT history. Several efforts are currently underway to document and archive the culture and artifacts of Senior House, including the murals, the presidential plaques, and the tire swing. All members of the community are encouraged to register and share content.
